Ruby Lee Kain, 89, resident of Union County, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Ms.

Funeral Services honoring Mrs. Kain’s life will be 12 Noon Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Victory Church in New Albany with Bro. Mark Bishop officiating. Visitation will be 10 AM until Service Time Saturday June 3, 2023, at Victory Church. Burial will follow in Glenfield Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Kain was born November 17, 1933, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late Hassel and Frankie Booth. She received her education from the State Line Public School System in Salem, Arkansas and was married March 17, 1951, to the love of her life, the late Rubert Kain. She was employed in the retail department with Sears for five years and worked in the Shoe Department with Walmart for twenty-five years before her retirement.

A Christian, and faithful member of Victory Church, Mrs. Kain was very devoted to her church and, along with her husband, even took part in building it. She was blessed with talented hands and found much pleasure in scrapbooking, quilting, and keeping a “neat as a pin” yard. A beloved mother, grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren, and four much adored great grandchildren, Mrs. Kain’s life centered around caring and loving her family. She had a positive attitude and strong will about her and was always there with a helping hand, smiling face, and a joy to all those who knew and loved her. She will be missed greatly but her family finds comfort in knowing that she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Lord.

Those left to cherish her memories include one daughter, Sharon Lee Cooper (Gary), two sons, Larry Kain (Tammy) and Jeffory Kain (Tracie), six grandchildren, Crystal Wilson (Paul), Darren Cooper (Emily), Chase Cooper (Morgan), Dustin Kain (Megan), Lauren Kain, and Leighanna Kain, four great grandchildren, Peyton Cooper, Kaylee Anne Cooper, Owen Cooper, and Gunner Kain, and her two loving great “Grand Pups”, Zeva and Ellie Belle.

Memorials can be directed to Victory Church, 116 N Denton Rd, New Albany, MS 38652.
