2019-2020 Back-to-School Health Fair: alas, no snow
Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County hosted the 2019-2020 Back-to-School Health Fair on Saturday morning August 10, 2019. The ever-popular event gets kids off to a good start, healthwise, with a variety of health screenings (eyes, ears, height, weight, blood pressure, etc). Additionally, lots of pertinent health care and safety information is available for parents to consider.
Resources from Baptist Union County and its many community partners provide medical clinics, dental clinics and even a teddy bear clinic. Emergency responders are on hand with a variety of vehicles for curious kids to check out. The 2019-2020 Back-to-School Health fair also provided free back packs, school supplies, and a variety of snacks and drinks to round out the day.
Even with the possibility of precipitation pretty high, the Accuweather predictions for the day, with no snow days likely, dashed students’ hopes for unscheduled holidays in the immediate future. Maybe later in the year, kids.
