Free Music Alert! New Albany to have free concerts every weekend this summer!

New Albany, Mississippi-

What’s happening? This year New Albany was one of only 15 communities nationwide to win a Levitt AMP grant that will bring a 10-week music series to the Park Along the River in downtown.  Along with support from the city, Main Street Association, sponsors like Sugarees Bakery, A2H Architects, BNA Bank, ASI and others, as well as generous local donors, this summer-long musical event will begin this Saturday, June 4, and last all the way through August 6.

In addition to the Levitt AMP show, New Albany’s Freedom Fest will take place on Saturday, June 25, with music all day, headlined by a Confederate Railroad show. A midway carnival will be on site and the festival will conclude with a professional fireworks show sponsored by Barnes Crossing GMC.

All events are family friendly and outside food and drink are allowed, although food vendors are available as well. Check out this year’s lineup, get those picnic baskets ready, and go enjoy the music.
