New Albany Main Street annual business meeting

The annual business meeting of the New Albany Main Street Association will be Thursday, November 15, at the Community Center, 307 Wilson Street.

Recipients of the 2018 Main Street Awards will be honored at this event. They are:

Main Street Service Award
The Main Street Service Award will go to Johnny Payton and all the employees of the New Albany Street Department. “These guys are always willing to do what they can to support and contribute to the beauty of our city as well as going beyond their regular responsibilities when preparing for an event downtown or festival,” said Main Street Director Billye Jean Stroud.

Main Street Revitalization Award
The Revitalization Award will go to James Pullman and Mission Rehabilitation. “Pullman has completed an outstanding renovation on his building Mission Rehab, on Main Street and has added to the beauty and value of other surrounding buildings,” said Stroud.

Main Street President’s Award.
The President’s Award will go to Leann Manning Murphy and Obsessions Boutique. Stroud said, “This award recognizes an individual who has contributed leadership and support for downtown and who best represents commitment to the goal of enhancing the quality of life in New Albany by active community involvement.”
