New Albany, MS– New Tanglefoot Trail signs were installed Friday morning, Nov. 16, at the trailhead in downtown New Albany.

A sign was installed on both sides of the arch at the trailhead arch, one facing north, the other south. The design of the sign bearing the words “Tanglefoot Trail New Albany” is curved, following the curve of the arch.

The 44-mile hiking/biking trail runs from New Albany to Houston, Mississippi. It is installed on the roadbed of the old Ship Island Railroad, which was founded by William Clark Falkner in the 1870s. The trail opened in 2015.

The arch at the Trailhead was put up about a year ago, mid-November, 2017.

The Design Team Sign Company of Savannah, Tenn, who built the sign, supervise its installation.

The new Tanglefoot Trailhead sign was designed, built and installed by the Design Team Sign Company of Savannah, Tenn. Keith Pierce, who owns the sign company with his brother, supervised the installation of the sign.
