Roy James Pannell, 84, died Sunday, February 24, 2019, at his residence. He was born January 24, 1935, in Union County to Amery Roy and Lena Jane Davis Pannell. He was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. He was a 3rd degree Mason and a member of the Eastern Star. He was retired and had been a car dealer, an electrician, and a farmer.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret Rose Rowan Pannell; 1 daughter: Brenda Joy Mansel (Mike); 1 son: Roy Eugene “Gene” Pannell (Barbara); 2 sisters: Kathryn Pannell and Doris Ann Pryor (Les); 1 brother: Bobby Gene Pannell; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son-in-law: Freddy Pickens; 1 brother-in-law: Hershel Pannell; and 1 nephew: Greg Pannell.
