Mississippi establishes Pennebaker Memorial Highway
New Albany MS – Pennebaker Memorial Highway dedication June 7
WHO: Transportation Commissioner Mike Tagert, Rep. Margaret Rogers, Judge Michael Mills.
WHAT: Tagert and other speakers will give remarks during the John D. Pennebaker Memorial Highway Dedication.
The event is open to the public.
WHERE: The dedication will be held at Ebenezer ARP Presbyterian, 601 County Road 713, Blue Mountain.
WHEN: Friday, June 7 at 2pm.
WHY: During the 2018 legislative session, the governor signed House Bill 756 into law which authorized a section of State Route 15 North to be designated the “John David Pennebaker Memorial Highway.” Pennebaker was a former mayor of New Albany and also served as a state representative for 17 years.
