Kindergarten students celebrate fall’s arrival with leaf hunt

Mrs. Neely Robertson’s kindergarten class at New Albany Elementary School recently went on a “leaf hunt” after discussing the different signs of fall. After learning that the leaves change colors and fall from the trees, it sparked their interest and they wanted to go outside to take a look. This led to the “Leaf Hunt!”  Students had so much fun collecting leaves of all shapes, sizes, and colors. They were able to compare their findings, which led to interesting discussions. Once the leaves were collected, the students were able to bring them inside and use their imagination and creativity to create animals. Students loved this experience as they were able to explore, collaborate, create, and produce pieces of writing.
