6th grader gives back to dyslexia therapy class

Avery Watson, a 6th grader in the New Albany School District, had the idea to give back to her dyslexia therapy classroom that she was a part of for three years while she was a student at New Albany Elementary School. She began by donating bracelets to be sold and also recently received a donation from Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County. Avery states, “I want to help other students who are dyslexic to know that it’s ok to learn and read in a different way. It’s hard sometimes, but you can do it! Yes, dyslexia is real. I am so thankful for all of the teachers who believed in me!”
