Museum Madness summer children’s program returns in June
Summer children’s programming at the museum includes Museum Madness, which will be June 21 – 25. There will be a morning and afternoon session each day for smaller class sizes.
Monday’s theme is Learn Survival Skills with Don Watts. Tuesday is Hands on creation with pottery taught by Shelby Toole. Wednesday is learning about Art and Geometry with the symbols used by the ancients taught by Janet Bland. Thursday is Design Your Own Robot, but first you have to take apart another machine! A Friday is Minecraft with Teamwork. Mine for ores and make points! Campers who sign up for the week get a free T-shirt. Museum Madness is for incoming second graders through incoming 5th graders.
School Is Out – Art Is In
Additional museum summer children’s programs will begin in June with School is Out – Art is In – Let’s Go Make Something at the Museum!
This will be on Tuesdays 10 a.m. until noon in June and July.
Themes are Painting and Picasso, Fairy Gardens and Monet, the Mad Potter of Biloxi and Cooking and Food Art. The classes are for ages 6-8 in June and 9 to 11 in July.
