Curbside Market sees steady attendance despite early crop season
Community Curbside Market is up and running for the 2021 season!
The market will run from 4:30-6:30 pm every Thursday during the months of June, July, and August.
At the market you will find fresh produce from local growers, jams, jellies, and honey from local producers, and art, textiles, home goods, and pottery from local makers.
“We want to invite everyone in the area to come out and enjoy the Community Curbside Market,” said New Albany Main Street assistant Tracy Vainisi. “You can’t go wrong with fresh air and local produce.”
During the market, visitors are encouraged to stop in at the Union County Library, where Sissy Bullock and her staff will have activities for families. Guests to the market can also walk over to the Trailhead Plaza to enjoy live music with a cup of Brain Freeze frozen yogurt, coffee from Brew Albany, a treat from Sugaree’s Bakery, or a Snow Shack Snow Cone.
Downtown New Albany boasts five eateries: Ciao Chow, The Warehouse Fish and Steak, Game Tyme, Tallahatchie Gourmet, and The Rainey that are all open for dinner from 5-9 p.m. Each of them is always serving up a delicious meal for dine-in or carryout.
Vainisi added, “The best place to find out what is happening each week at the Community Curbside Market as well as throughout the area is visitnewalbany.com. A calendar can be found at the bottom of the screen and has both city and county sponsored events.”
If you would like to be a vendor at the Community Curbside Market or have any questions, please call the Main Street office at 662-534-3438 or email Tracy at visitnewalbany@gmail.com.
