Authorities identify pedestrian killed on I-22 in New Albany /Updated

Authorities have identified the pedestrian struck and killed about 10 p.m. Tuesday night, Dec. 8th, on Interstate-22 as Terry Biggs.

Biggs, a 55-year-old African-American male, is believed to be a local resident. He was struck by multiple vehicles while walking on the traffic lanes of I-22, near the New Albany Sportsplex.  Eastbound traffic on I-22 was re-routed onto Bankhead Street for about two hours during the early part of the investigation.

The investigation of the incident is continuing.
