Ray Raymond Clay, Jr., 63

October 19, 1960 – May 28, 2024

Ray Raymond Clay, Jr., 63, of Tupelo, passed away at his home on May 28, 2024. Ray was born on October 19, 1960 in Illinois to Ray Clay, Sr. and Elmira Wheeler Clay. A dedicated mechanic by trade, Ray’s passion for working on cars was evident to all who knew him.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Kreuser Clay, his daughter, Kadie Clay of Kenosha, WI, and his son, Kameron Clay (Lorri) of Tupelo. He also leaves behind four sisters: Janet Fredrickson (Steve), Rhonda Shodis (Mark), Jo Fink (Don), and Jill Mastel (Greg); two brothers: Roy Clay and James Clay; and three cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Kyle Clay.

Ray enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: listening to music, savoring a cold beer, and spending time outdoors. His love for his dogs and his deep affection for his family were always at the forefront of his life. Ray’s grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he was a devoted and loving father.

In Ray’s memory, his favorite saying, “Give heaven some hell,” will forever remind us of his spirited and lively nature. Though no services are planned at this time, Ray’s family finds comfort in the many happy memories they shared with him.

The Clay family is being served by Associated Family Funeral Home, who are honored to support them during this time.

Rest in peace, Ray. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
