On Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 11:28 am, Tommy left this world to praise his Lord and Savior forever and ever.

Heaven’s gain, is this world’s loss. Tommy was a honest, good, hard working man.

He believed God First, Family, and Country.

He was a Vietnam Veteran, United States Marine Corp, 1st Marine Division, 2nd Battalion, Echo Company. Tommy was a brave and loyal soldier, he never spoke much about the time he served his country in Vietnam, but he was awarded Rifle Expert, Navy/USMC Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, U. S. Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action USN/USMC, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. He was a Squad Leader, during this time, He was also awarded a Citation from the Secretary of the Navy for his bravery and quick thinking, which saved the lives of his squad while on ambush patrol.

While in the Marine Corp, Tommy served in several countries, Japan, Thailand, Guam, and Vietnam. He also traveled to Hawaii and Alaska. After his tour in the Marines, he chose to be an Over the Road Truck Driver, before his retirement in 2008, he had driven in all 48 states of the mainland.

After returning home, He was a caring husband, a devoted dad, a proud granddaddy, and an adoring great granddaddy.

He leaves his wife of 56 1/2 years, Margaret. One son, Gregory Scott Hall, one daughter, Gretchin Richelle Moody, (Rodney) four grandchildren, Karley Rachelle Hall, Taylor Lamar Moody(Randa), Matthew Hunter Moody(Kristen), and Gunner Scott Hall. Tommy never questioned why he was enduring such pain and heartache here, He always had faith and knew the Lord would carry him through.

On August 18, 2024, He must have heard the Lord say,

“At Ease Soldier, you have fought a good fight, your battle is over, the victory is won.”
