Anthony Scott Gattis, 51

July 19, 1973 – August 30, 2024

Anthony Scott Gattis, 51, of Saltillo, Mississippi, passed away at his home on August 30, 2024. Born on July 19, 1973, in Illinois, Anthony was the beloved son of Carl and Linda May Gattis.

Anthony is survived by his devoted mother, Linda, and his loving siblings: Melissa Hoedemaker (Victor) of Baldwyn, Andrea Gattis of Saltillo, Carol Nix (Glenn Dale) of Houlka, and Stephen Gattis (Becky) of North Carolina. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, Cyle Mejorado (Kristen), Cody Hoedemaker, Britny Kloth (Joseph Florio), Damon Gattis (Kimberly), Tyler Nix and Sarah Nooner (Cole).  Anthony’s legacy continues through his great-nephew, Kayden Mejorado, and his great-nieces, Aliza Nooner and Lauriana Nooner.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Carl Gattis, and his nephew, T.J. Gattis.

A man of many passions, Anthony was an avid gamer who found joy in the worlds of comic books and cherished the companionship of his cat, Ash. His love for animals and his kind spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial service to honor Anthony’s life will be held at a later date, with burial at the Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery. The Gattis family is being served by the Associated Family Funeral Home in Tupelo, who are honored to support them in their time of need.

Anthony’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the time they shared with him.
