Dennis “Terry” Park, Sr., 77

Tupelo-Dennis “Terry” Park, Sr., 77, died at his residence in Tupelo in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 3, 2024. Terry was born on November 14, 1946 in Tupelo to the late JC Park and Janie Lavell Clark Park. He was a lifelong resident of Tupelo, graduating from Tupelo High School in 1965. He married the love of his life, Cheryl Johnson on November 3, 1971. Terry was a respected independent insurance agent in Tupelo for over 30 years. He and Cheryl were members of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.



Terry was an outdoorsman. He loved to curl up to a campfire and read a good western story or a John Grisham novel. He loved camping and fishing. He enjoyed watching The Atlanta Braves and Ole Miss Rebels. His greatest love was his family and his grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

A service celebrating Terry’s life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in The Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time on Saturday. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cheryl Park of Tupelo; daughter, Angie Kelly (Rickey) of Booneville; son, Dennis Terry Park, Jr (Rhonda) of Tupelo; grandchildren, Emily Woolum (Chris), Traci Hazelberg (Michael), Kyle Park (Charly), Alex Boyd (Blake), and Summer Park; and Great Grandchildren, Gatlin Hazeberg, Jack Hazelberg, Ellie Hazelberg, Callen Woolum, and John Rockford Boyd.

Those serving as Pallbearers will be Kyle Park, Blake Boyd, Chris Woolum, Michael Hazelberg, Billy Kelly, and Reggie Russell. Honorary Pallbearers are Phillip Russell and Mike Russell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Terry’s memory.
