Wade Trulove, 60
July 23, 1964 – November 3, 2024
TUPELO – Wade Junior Trulove, a master mechanic who spent his whole working life in the family business, Trulove Automotive in East Tupelo, died unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday morning, November 3, 2024. Wade had just turned 60 years old this summer. Born in Booneville on July 23, 1964, to the late Okema Lambert Trulove and Junior Trulove, who survives, Wade spent all his adult life in Tupelo. He learned the mechanic trade early on through the family business and, at his death, was a well respected and admired automobile technician in East Tupelo. A strong willed, independent soul who made many friends throughout his all too short life, Wade loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, Pickwick Lake and all its amenities, and being with his family. A member of the NRA, he loved his firearms. An expert “piddler,” there was little he couldn’t do with his hands. He had an adventurous personality, enjoyed playing practical jokes and picking on everyone, and wearing the finest boots in town.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, from the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo with burial to follow in Lee Memorial Park in Verona. Visitation will begin at 4 PM and continue until 7PM on Tuesday, Nov. 5th and the family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at Noon on Wednesday.
