Debra Lyons Aron, 70

April 8, 1954 – December 28, 2024

EAST TUPELO – Debra Annette Lyons Aron died on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at NMMC and crossed over to eternity at the age of 70. Debra was born on April 8, 1954, in Tupelo to the late W.T. Lyons and Annie Marie Hipps Lyons. She loved East Tupelo, attended Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church and lived most of her life there. Deb was a 1972 graduate of Tupelo High School and later attended Beauty College. She worked in her early life at her dad’s businesses, Lyons and Nanney Motors and 78 Truck Stop. She worked later as an optics technician. Always the life of the party, Debra loved people, was a generous conversationalist, neighborly and an avid Ole Miss Rebel fan. She was a loyal patron of the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Shows, enjoyed all genres of music and all animals, especially dogs, and loved Elvis. In her youth and for years, Debra traveled extensively with her late best friend, Debra Witcher and Debra’s mother, Jean. Her life was summed up by the Serenity Prayer, which guided her through the mountain tops and valleys of her earthly pilgrimage. She will be missed!
