Rodney Weeden, 66
July 23, 1958 — January 8, 2025
Rodney Weeden, a beloved father, husband, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in Tupelo, MS, at the age of 66. Born on July 23, 1958, in Mississippi, Rodney dedicated much of his life to hard work in the furniture industry, where he was known as a dependable factory worker and a valued colleague.
Rodney was a proud resident of Pontotoc, MS, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for horses, often spending his time riding and showing them, a passion that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. His fondness for yard work and mowing the lawn was evident to all who knew him, as was his talent for sharing laughter and joy. Rodney had a special gift for telling jokes that would bring smiles to the faces of his grandchildren. Many cherished moments were spent together, sipping coffee, enjoying the day, and sharing lighthearted stories.
Rodney is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Sandra Weeden, his sister Gloria Williams, and his brother Jimmy Weeden. He leaves behind three beloved daughters: Kayla Colburn (Will), Hannah Gullick (Tyler), and Bryanna Weeden (Brandon Edwards), along with his treasured grandchildren: Rylan Colburn, Kayden Tutor, Braylee Gullick, Aubrey Colburn, Brentlee Gullick, Jax Colburn, Dakota Gullick, and Sawyer and Stetson Edwards. Each of these family members carries a piece of his spirit, keeping his memory alive in their hearts. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents Sallie Weeden and Hollin Weeden, cousins Jackie Weeden, Junior Weeden, and nephew Casey Deaton.
