Ronald Stanley, 73

March 23, 1951 – January 12, 2025

Ronald Stanley, 73, of Iuka, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. Born on March 23, 1951, in Georgia to Quentin and Imgard Barbara Schelleimer Stanley, Ronald lived a life defined by hard work, curiosity, and a love for adventure.

A retired truck driver and skilled plumber, Ronald was known for his resourcefulness and ability to fix just about anything. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Therese Stanley, a loving father to his daughter, Ryan Bufkin (David) of Iuka, and his son, Sean Freeman (Crystal) of Pickins, South Carolina. He was also a cherished grandfather to Cody Freeman, Aubrey Freeman, Layla Bufkin, Benjamin Bufkin, and Zachary Bufkin. He is survived by his brother, William Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sisters, Michele Stanley and Majorie Stanley.

Ronald was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Iuka, where he served as the choir director. He was also a proud member of the NRA. His passions were as unique as he was—he found joy in fishing, working on muscle cars, and drag racing. He had a keen interest in political conspiracy theories and, in his younger years, loved the thrill of water skiing. A true handyman at heart, he was always ready to lend a helping hand or tinker with a new project.

No services are planned at this time. The Stanley family is being served by Associated Family Funeral Home of Tupelo.

Ronald’s legacy of hard work, humor, and love for life will be cherished by those who knew him. He will be deeply missed
