Daniel Lee Jeter, 77
March 15, 1947 – February 2, 2025
On Sunday evening, February 2, 2025, Daniel Lee Jeter, 77, resident of Falkner, passed away peacefully at Diversicare Health & Rehab surrounded by family.
Funeral Services, with military honors, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 5 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, February 4 and will continue from 9 AM until service time Wednesday, February 5 at The Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Falkner Cemetery.
Mr. Jeter was born March 15, 1947, in Tippah County, the son of the late David and Lee Opal Richardson Jeter. He was a graduate of Pine Grove High School, proudly served his country as a Marine for 4 years during the Vietnam War Period and was employed as an installer for Webster Safe & Lock Company for over 20 years before retiring.
An avid fisherman, Mr. Jeter enjoyed the outdoors which also included deer & wild boar hunting, and he found much pleasure working on vehicles. He was quite the “jack of all trades” and could do anything from electricity, to plumbing, to babysitting which he loved the most. He will never be forgotten but forever remembered for his gentle spirit, true friendship to all and love for his family.
Precious memories will continue to be shared by his wife of 22 years, Bennie Jones Jeter, three sisters, Ruth Hopkins and Patsy Bonee (Bobby) of Falkner and Linda Crawford of Ripley, two brothers, Denver Jeter (Irene) of Hattisburg and Layne Jeter of Falkner and three feline companions, Miss Kitty, Boo-Baby and Sissy.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded by his son, Daniel Lee Jeter, II.
