William Andrew Milam, 34

December 20, 1990 – February 3, 2025

“There are some who bring a light so great to this world that even after they have gone, the light remains”

On Monday February 3, 2025, William Andrew Milam, 34, departed this life unexpectedly from natural causes at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, MS.

Services Celebrating Drew’s life will be held at 1 PM Friday February 7, 2025, at Locust Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Horton officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service on Friday February 7, 2025, at Locust Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Andrew was born December 20, 1990, in New Albany to his loving parents, Ralph Lee Milam, Jr. and Barbara Todd Davis. He received his education from the New Albany High School and was employed with H. M. Richards in Guntown, as a frame builder. With love at first sight and not long after knowing one another, Andrew popped the big question and proposed to his fiancée, Lisa Duke. Together they loved and lived life to its fullest, as he was a handworker and provided all he could for her and his children. He was their voice of reason, shoulder to cry on, and number one supporter through anything.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love was Andrew. Even at a young age he had a big heart and was so loving. He had such a personal connection with his family, as he was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews, and brother to his three sisters and multiple friends. Being a dad was his favorite title, as Mackenzie, Aria, Bentley, and Camdyn, were his pride and joy, and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. Weather it was time spent with Lisa, spoiling his children, on the pond banks fishing, or being around family and friends, Andrew always had a smile on his face. He touched so many lives, as he was caring, outgoing, kind to others, and possessed a true heart of gold.

Drew’s life was lived with purpose, as he made an impact on all those he touched, loved full heartedly, and could light up any room he was in. Although nothing can every takeaway the pain of grief or fill the void in our hearts, it’s been said before, “You may not have got to spend the rest of your life with them, but they got to spend the rest of their life with us, and there is beauty in that.” We find peace and comfort in the beautiful memories made with Andrew, and we long for the day we get to see him again and spend eternity together in Heaven.

In addition to his fiancée, Lisa Duke, he leaves two daughters, Mackenzie Milam and Aria Milam, two sons, Bentley Milam and Camdyn Milam, three sisters Emily Grant West (James), Lauren Grant, and Angela Milam Atwell (Justin), his mother, Barbara Todd Davis, his father, Ralph Lee Milam Jr., multiple nieces and nephews, to which he loved dearly, and a wide circle of family, and friends.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Dillon Duke, Jacob Davis, Sonny Jones, Raymond Bell, Cecil Fleming, Sebastian Smith, and Josheph Tucker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Duke and Michael LaMacchia.
