Stanley “Cheyenne” Kendrick, 77

September 20, 1947- February 20, 2025

Booneville-Stanley “Cheyenne” Kendrick, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 at NMMC in Tupelo after a period of declining health. Born in Booneville on Sept. 20, 1947 to the late Bondy Lee Kendrick and Lois Honeycutt Kendrick, he grew up in Booneville. He lived in Union County most of his life where he owned 10-8 CB Sales and Auto Repair. CB radio was a major part of his life and he was known far and wide by his handle, Cheyenne. He had early in life worked for Penn Tire, now known as Cooper/Goodyear. He loved automobile repair, NHRA Drag Racing, especially following John Force, the Atlanta Braves baseball program and watching Westerns, especially John Wayne movies. Cheyenne served in the Miss. Air National Guard. He was a member of the Tupelo Church of God.



A service celebrating his life will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Pastor Judd Vowell officiating assisted by Bro Rex Bullock. Visitation will be from 4 PM-7PM Sunday at the funeral home and from 10 AM-service time on Monday. “Cheyenne” is survived by his children, Kimberly Carter (Jimmy) of Nettleton, Kelly Bailey (Jimmy) of Blue Springs and Kristin Coombs (John) Maryville, TN, and James Kendrick (Stacy) of Etta; grandchildren, Bailey Shane Andrews, Marley Shae Andrews, Ashley Steinke (James), Aaliyah Swanson (Tanner), Cameron Windham, Bentley Windham, Amelia Kendrick, Killian Kendrick, Kayla Cox (Matt), Wayne Bailey (Chasity), Harleigh Holcomb, Ashliegh Hood, Roman Bailey, RyLiegh Bailey, Jase Cox, Kinsley Cox, Joseph Cox, Kaitlyn Coombs, Erza Coombs, and John Coombs III; great grandchildren, Sorren Colt Clippard, Ezra Swanson, Carter Issac Steinke, Carter Steinke, Cannon Steinke,; and 2 great great grandchildren, whom he called grandchaps. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bondy and Lois Kendrick, his wife, Martha Shook Kendrix and 8 siblings, Randall, George, Jack, David, Preston Jane Cox, Othelo Floyd, and Kathleen Tucker.

Pallbears will be Wayne Bailey, Bailey Andrews, Jerry Kendrick, John Combs III, Wesley Clippard, James Matthew Cox. Honorary Pallbears are his grandsons, Jase, Joseph, Roman, Erza, Killian, Cameron, Bentley, Carter, and Cannon; and his Son In-Laws, Jimmy Bailey, Jimmy Catrter, Maury Andrews, and John Coombs.
