Mary Elizabeth White, 73
November 15, 1951 – April 5, 2025
Mary Elizabeth White, 73, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Born on November 15, 1951, in Mississippi to Essie Dean Neal, Mary grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She was a proud alumna of Siggers High School, where she played on the girls’ basketball team and first began to shine with the strong, spirited personality that defined her life.
Mary enjoyed a fulfilling 30-year career as a flight attendant, traveling the world and making countless friends in the skies. Her love for adventure carried into her personal life—she was always up for a trip, loved to shop, and took special joy in tending to her flower garden. Known for her quick wit, joyful laugh, and ability to bring humor into any room, Mary was a true jokester who could always lighten the mood.
Following her career in the skies, Mary pursued her passion for beauty and self-care as a talented beautician, owning and operating her own salon for many years. Her work brought her joy, pride, and deep connections with her clients and community.
Mary cherished her role as an aunt, taking great pride in spoiling her many nieces and nephews. Each one held a special place in her heart, and her love and presence will be remembered always.
She is survived by her loving sisters Marilyn Doyle (Moses), Peggy Ledbetter, Gloria Clerkley, Katie Buchanan, and Belinda Doss; her devoted brothers Earl Crawford (Elizabeth), Patrick Isby, Sherrod Miller (Shannon), Melvin Isby (Erica), and Paul Isby; a special friend Yolanda Isby; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
No services are planned at this time.
