NEMiss.News Park Along the River Project underway

The May 15 Museum Moments program will feature information on the project underway for the Park-Along-the-River and on the Little Tallahatchie Riverway Conservancy. As a Special Project of CREATE Foundation, the Conservancy was formed in 2023 to implement a National Park Service Rivers, Trails, & Conservation Assistance grant.

The project will result in the creation of the Camp Creek Discovery Grounds, providing a variety of spaces that will feature many different ways for visitors of all ages to enjoy and learn in a beautiful new environment.

With the park closing for the project, the Conservancy will give details on the history of the park, a project timeline, and how to get involved.

Guest speakers will be Brittany Clark and Betsey Hamilton.

The public is invited to the Thursday May 15, meeting at 12 noon at the Union County Heritage Museum in New Albany.

A light lunch is courtesy of the Historic Northside District Garden Club beginning at 11:30.

The museum is located at 114 Cleveland St., New Albany, MS. Call 662-538-0014 for information.
