Kenneth Wade Cecil, 65
November 15, 1959 – May 29, 2025
Mr. Kenneth Wade Cecil, age 65, departed his earthly walk with life on Thursday evening, May 29, 2025, after a brief illness.
A funeral service honoring Mr. Kenneth’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening, June 2, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest next to his youngest brother, Raymond Cecil in Waycross, Georgia.
Born November 15, 1959, in Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Kenneth was the son of the late Kennith Irvin and Virginia Bertha Cecil. A high school graduate and a man instilled with a strong work ethic, Mr. Kenneth owned and operated his trucking company, K. W. Cecil Transport, for over twenty years, faithfully serving the North Mississippi and Tennessee area with integrity and pride.
A saved Christian and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mr. Kenneth lived his life as a true servant of the Lord. He served his church and fellowman faithfully, consistently placing the needs of others above his own. Whether offering a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or his time and labor, Mr. Kenneth was a steady presence of compassion and generosity. He volunteered as an ordinance worker in the Memphis temple, where he found deep joy in serving with humility and love.
His life was a living example of Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Kenneth didn’t just believe in this principle—he lived it daily, uplifting those around him with quiet strength and unwavering kindness.
Beyond his spiritual devotion, Mr. Kenneth found joy in life’s simpler pleasures. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. But above all, he loved serving—his family, his faith, and his Lord.
Those left to cherish his memories include five brothers, Douglas Cecil, Ronald Cecil, Daniel Cecil, Timothy Cecil, and Bryant Cecil, along with his loving church friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, David Cecil, and Raymond Cecil.
