Truitt Wayne Weaver, 72

September 7, 1952 – July 12, 2025

Truitt Wayne Weaver, 72, of the Eggville Community, passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2025. Born on September 7, 1952, in Mississippi, Truitt was the son of the late Robert and Ardania Bishop Weaver.



Truitt spent his working years in various roles with last job being working as a store clerk at Cooper Tire. A devoted family man and friend, he shared the last 12 years of his life with his loving wife and companion, Tina Lee Weaver.

Truitt is survived by his wife, Tina; his son, Todd Weaver (Ashley); his sister, Tina Betts (Larry); and his beloved grandchildren: Weston Weaver, Grayson Weaver, Shea Eads (Cody), Juliett Martin, and Jaselyn Martin. He also leaves behind his cherished great-grandson, Lawson Kelly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepdaughter, Lisa Lawson.

A member of Tupelo Freewill Baptist Church, Truitt was known for his strong community ties and warm friendships. He was a proud member of the coffee club at both Hardin’s Country Store and the North Auburn Store, where he spent many mornings enjoying fellowship and laughter.

Truitt had a passion for life that was evident in all he did. He loved riding motorcycles, he had lifelong affection for Chevrolet trucks and especially enjoyed spending time with his son in the shop. Nothing brought him more joy than being with his grandchildren and making memories on spontaneous travels near and far. His generous spirit, adventurous heart, and loyal friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private burial will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Eggville Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Eggville Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
