Baptist Union County Names Service First Champion
NEW ALBANY, Miss., August 1, 2025 – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County recently announced that Rachel Hayes and Emily Hutchins have been named Service First Champions for the quarter. Both work in the environmental services department.
Service First Champions are individuals who consistently exceed all expectations for the purpose of serving others and are nominated by colleagues, physicians, patients, and their family/support persons for outstanding service.
Hayes was recognized for going above and beyond during a busy shift in the emergency department. The nomination stated, “Rachel consistently displays a positive, endearing attitude and is beyond helpful in critical times.”
Hutchins’ nominator shared how she went above and beyond to help clean an area that had been under construction and stated, “Emily’s attitude and professionalism ranks at the top.”
“Rachel and Emily’s dedication and commitment exemplifies what a Service First Champion should be,” said Ann Bishop, CEO and Administrator. “It is outstanding team members like Rachel and Emily who make a difference at Baptist Union County and in the lives of our patients and families.”
