Blanche Nadine Eubanks Walden, 87

April 28, 1938 – August 11, 2025

On the morning of Monday, August 11, 2025, Mrs. Blanche Nadine Eubanks Walden, age 87, entered into the presence of her Heavenly Home, peacefully departing this earthly life at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by the love of her family.

Funeral services honoring her beautiful Christian life will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Bingham officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday evening, August 12, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born on April 28, 1938, in Mississippi, Mrs. Blanche was the daughter of the late Freddie Leon and Bessie Christine Herndon Eubanks. She was a proud graduate of Pontotoc High School and spent her career faithfully serving in the Tippah County Tax Assessor’s Office and with the United States Department of Agriculture as a clerk until her retirement. On December 15, 1958, she married the love of her life, Rev. Eugene Walden, and embraced with joy the calling of a pastor’s wife—tending to her home with grace, raising their children to know and love the Lord, and standing faithfully beside her husband in ministry.

A steadfast believer in Jesus Christ, Mrs. Blanche lived her faith daily through acts of service, kindness, and generosity. She was a woman of many talents—a gifted seamstress, a lover of crafts, a faithful flea market treasure hunter, and a devoted gardener who tenderly cared for her flowers and plants, even moving more than two hundred of them when she and Rev. Eugene relocated. Above all her hobbies and accomplishments, nothing compared to the joy she found in her family and friends. She poured her love into them endlessly, offering a listening ear, a gentle word, and a steady presence that could always be counted on.

Her life beautifully reflected the words of Proverbs 31: “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her… a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Mrs. Blanche’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, selfless love, and a heart wholly devoted to her Savior. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord she served so faithfully, rejoicing in eternal peace and joy.

Memories will continue to be cherished by one daughter, Gena Camburn (Grady), one son, David Walden (Sherri), one sister, Ruth Young, one brother, Johnny Eubanks, four grandchildren, Jason Walden (Patty), Chris Walden (Jodie), Heather Gunn (Jason), and Stephanie Harris (Robbie), seven great grandchildren, Dawson, Weston, Nolan, Preston, Zoey, Landon, and Jacob.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Blanche’s is also preceded in death by one sister, Jo Nell Redmon.
