Nancy “Crystal” Gray, 45

November 19, 1979 – August 27, 2025

Nancy “Crystal” Gray, 45, resident of Pontotoc, MS, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County, after an extended illness.

Born November 19, 1979, in Jonesboro, AR, Crystal was the daughter of Tammy Ward.  She received her education from Saltillo High School and was a devoted homemaker.  An animal lover at heart, she found great joy in rescuing and caring for disabled pets, and each one held a special place in her heart.   Creative and full of life, she enjoyed singing, drawing, often designing tattoos for family members, and photography, though she preferred being behind the camera rather than in front of it.  Above all, Crystal cherished her family, and for them there are no goodbyes, for wherever she is, she will always be in their hearts.

She is survived by her mother, Tammy Ward, her husband of twenty-eight years, Bobby Gray of Pontotoc, two daughters, McKynlei and Kathy Gray, of Pontotoc, two sisters, Samantha Mann, of Benton, MS, and Haley Watson, of Tupelo, MS, two brothers, Matthew and Lawrence Watson, both of Tupelo, MS, her beloved niece and nephews, Corey, Matthew, J.D. and Kirsten Mann and Camden Putt, whom she loved as her own, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Crystal is preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Evans, and her father- and mother-in-law, Bobby and Kathy Gray.
