James Calvin Blount, 75

January 1, 1950  –  September 2, 2025

Saltillo-James Calvin Blount, at age 75, departed this life at North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025. Coach Blount taught and coached at Mooreville High School for a period of time and then entered the private world of furniture manufacturing when he became shipping supervisor for Action/ Lane Furniture with over 20 years service. A full obituary will be forthcoming.

A service for Coach Blount will be held at 2 PM Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 1 PM on Sunday only. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving the family (662 840 5000)
