Robert Lee Jones, Jr., was born on December 26, 1958, to the late Robert Lee Jones, Sr. and Lillie B. Jones, in Memphis, TN.   On Thursday, October 2, 2025, he transitioned at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, TN.

Robert Lee accepted Christ at an early age and joined Concord M.B. Church, in Slayden, MS.  He was a graduate of Sandflat High School. Robert Lee was the life of the party; he played football, listened to music, loved dancing and cooking. He was a family man who enjoyed socializing and being around his family and friends.

Robert Lee leaves to cherish his loving memories, son: Luther Walton, Jr. of Holly Springs, MS, two stepsons, Eric Turner of Memphis, TN, and Tarus Turner of Lamar, MS; daughters: Tasha Robinson (Julish) of Holly Springs, MS, Al Chappell of AR, stepdaughter Sherry Hughes of Olive Branch, MS; four brothers: Willie Jones of Lamar, MS, Cleo Jones (Debra), Clyde Jones, and Jerry Jones (LaTina) all of Memphis, TN;  two sisters: Lillie Mae Echols of Victoria, MS, and Anna Jones of Lamar, MS; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one aunt Arlene Gorman (Eddie) of Slayden, MS; and a host of  nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Robert Lee was preceded in death by his wife: Gloria Jones; his parents: Robert Lee Jones, Sr. and Lillie B. Jones; one son: Tony Dowdy; nine brothers: Leon Jones, Roger Jones, Evone Jones, Glendale Jones, Delmar Jones, George Jones, Charles Jones, and Walter Fitchpatrick, and J’Michael Jones.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, 199 S. Market St., Holly Springs, MS  38635.
