James Lewis Chandler, 67
December 23, 1957 – October 10, 2025
James “Chico” Lewis Chandler was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi on December 23, 1957 to J.L. and Eloise Chandler. He departed this life on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility in Baldwyn, MS.
He was a member of Ruben Chapel CME Church. He was a graduate of Booneville High School, where he was a member of the football team. An avid sports enthusiast, he especially enjoyed supporting the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to his declining health,
James was employed as a concrete worker and took great pleasure in weight training and maintaining an active lifestyle. He truly loved his family and friends.
James preceded in death by his parents J.L. Chandler and Eloise Chandler; Five (5) Aunts and Four (4) Uncles.
He leaves cherished memories to his daughter: Shea (Reginald) Thomas of Florence, AL; brother: Timothy (Felicitee) Foster of Guntown, MS; sister: Linda Agnew of Baldwyn, MS; Granddaughter: Brianna Thomas of Birmingham, AL; Aunts: Mary (Wheeler) Walker of Manchester, TN; Sara (Robert) of Decatur, GA; Deloris (Rev. Lloyd) Springfield of Booneville, MS; Annie Conley of Baldwyn; Uncles: Roy (Margaret) Simmons of Youngstown, OH; Marcus Simmons of Corinth, MS; Billy (Julia) Welch of Florida; and Perry (Freda) Welch of Baldwyn, MS. Nieces and Nephews: Zorianna and Peyton Foster of Baldwyn, MS; Jeremiah, and Zachariah Foster of Guntown, MS. A host of cousins and friends.
