Gail Francis Pierce, 71
August 25, 1954 – November 5, 2025
Wren Community-Angela Gail Francis Pierce departed this life from NMMC-Tupelo on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 after a period of declining health. She was 71 years old. Born on August 25, 1954 in Tupelo to the late John P. Francis and Sarah Helen Hunter Francis, she grew up in the Saltillo area and graduated from Saltillo High School in l972. Her work life was varied but her last years were fulfilling to her as a private sitter for the Elderly, as well as working in area Nursing home. Many people would say you would never meet a kinder person than Gail, for she loved everyone equally. Early in life, she enjoyed singing in choirs and choral groups at school. Gail loved attending Euclatubba Baptist Church while growing up. Her warm personality and soothing countenance brought joy to many.
A Memorial service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Bro. Scotty Witcher officiating. Private burial will be in the Wren Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Gail is survived by her daughter, Angela Hope Bryan (Pat) of Wren; her grandchildren Makinley Holley and Emma Claire Holley; her great grandchildren, Ava Bella -Kate Smith and Brynlee Blaire Holley; her two brothers , Alan Francis and Jimmy Francis. and their families, and a host of nieces and nephews and their families and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah, her husband, Billy Alvin Pierce and a brother, Michael Francis.
