“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
On the evening of Sunday, November 9, 2025, our beloved husband, daddy, grandfather, and true friend to so many, Robert Joseph “Bob” Harrison, moved on to Heaven’s greener pastures and met the face of his dear Savior after departing this earthly life in the comfort of his home, surrounded by those who loved him most.
Funeral Services honoring Bob’s well-lived life will be at 1 PM Friday, November 14, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home, with Bro. Chip Smith officiating and family sharing personal reflections. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 9 PM Thursday evening, November 13, 2025, at Ripley Funeral Home, and will continue Friday from 11 AM until time of service. Burial will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery in Benton County.
Born on September 12, 1948, in Fulton Kentucky, Bob was the son of the late Robert Lafayette and Calista Rose Lattus Harrison. He graduated from Ashland High School and later attended Northwest Mississippi Community College. From an early age, Bob was instilled with the value of honest labor, determination, and faith. He began his life’s work on the family farm — pulling corn, growing soybeans, picking cotton, and doing whatever needed to be done. His love for the land never faded, and that passion stayed with him for all his days. Alongside his farming, Bob dedicated twenty-two years of faithful service as a senior tech mechanic with FedEx, where his work ethic, loyalty, and good humor earned him the respect of all who worked beside him. Above all, Bob worked tirelessly to provide for his family — especially his three daughters, Pamela, Jennifer, and Beth, who were and will always be the pride of his heart.
A man of simple faith and sincere goodness, Bob had a gift for making others feel loved, noticed, and valued. He was the picture of a true Southern gentleman — never shaking a hand while sitting down, always removing his cowboy hat when stepping through a door, and keeping his word as his bond. Those timeless traits endeared him to all and even caught the eye of the love of his life, Mrs. Peggy, when the two met years ago at Spring Hill Gas Station. She often said it was love at first laugh — that one sound of his easy, contagious chuckle told her he was the one. Their love story blossomed into more than twenty beautiful years filled with laughter, loyalty, and unwavering devotion.
Bob lived his life wide open and full of purpose. He was a pillar of strength in his community — always ready to lend a helping hand, share a word of encouragement, or tell a story that left everyone smiling. His happiest moments were spent feeding his cows, riding horses across the pasture, and training his beloved bird dogs — several of which went on to win national championships. Whether sunrise or sunset, Bob found peace in the simple, quiet beauty of the countryside and the rhythm of God’s creation.
Bob was everything good, even in his moments of stubbornness — a man whose humor could brighten any room and whose advice carried the weight of wisdom earned through a lifetime of experience. The Mosquito Bend Cattle Farm will be a little quieter now, his home a little less lively, and his family’s hearts a little emptier — yet there is comfort in knowing that our wonderful Bob has been made whole and fully healed in the presence of his Lord.
His legacy lives on in every life he touched, in every field he worked, and in every heart that carries his memory forward. And when we see a cowboy’s hat resting upside down, hear the steady hum of a tractor in the distance, or see the cattle eating in an open pasture, we’ll be reminded that Bob is still near — watching over his family and friends from Heaven’s greener fields.
In addition to his wife, Mrs. Peggy, memories will continue to be cherished by three daughters, Pamela Harrison Bezzo (Brice), Jennifer Denham (Rodney), and Beth Harrison McMullen (Chuck), his stepdaughters and adopted children who he considered his own, Angie Clark, Michelle Wilson, Austin Harrison, Hailey Harrison, Kaitlyn Harrison, Destiny Cole, and Clay Harrison, his grandchildren, Dusty Mercer (Heather), Nicole Mensi (Josh), D. J. Denham (Angelica), Jospeh Denham (Rhea), Wyatt McMullen (Amelia), Page McMullen (E. J.), Devon Hendrick (Nic), Deanna Clark, David Clark Jr. (Kaitlin), and Ciera Walls, fifteen great grandchildren, and huge circle of friends that loved him dearly.
He is also preceded in death by one sister, Miriam Moore, one brother, Fred Harrison, and one granddaughter, Racheal Lee Harrison Bond.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Fred “Ziggy” Broman, Billy Wayne Morton, Dusty Mercer, D. J. Denham, Joseph Denham, Wyatt McMullen, Greg Youree, and Bubba Clark, along with Mike Vogler, Jaun Gonzalez, Frank Heines, Terry Roberson, and Keith Thompson serving as honorary pallbearers.
