Museum to host Santa & Mrs. Claus at this year’s Santa at the Museum, December 13
Santa Claus has visited the museum during the Christmas Season for more than 20 years. And he’s coming back on Saturday, December 13, 2025, 10 – 12. This year he’s bringing Mrs. Santa!
The excitement is building for the event that will also include Winter Wonderland Waffles, live Christmas music with Tallahatchie Suzuki Association, make and take Christmas ornaments, playing games and more!
The Historic Northside District Garden Club will help again this year. “This club has sponsored and volunteered at the Museum Christmas Event for many years,” said Jill Smith, Director. “We are so grateful for the many years that the garden club has provided hot chocolate and cookies and volunteers for this event.”
But wait! There’s more! There will be a Pop-Up Holiday Market with local artisans including Gail Morton – Ceramics, Rhonda Grammer – Watercolor, Judy Duvall – Textile; Jean Posey – Textile and Crocheted Animals; Marie White – Scrap Books and more; Benji Foley -Watercolor; Barry Snider, wood chip carvings and others.
Through the years parents have brought children and then those children have brought their children and it’s become a fun tradition.
This year is no exception. Parents can take photos of their children with Santa and then enjoy the many other activities and food that is available. And it’s all free, thanks to the museum’s Community Partners.
The Christmas Tree Scavenger hunt is always a seasonal favorite. There are more than 20 themed Christmas Trees decorating the museum. The America250 Tree is a new tree this year that celebrates our soldiers.
