Vera J. Crump, 89
March 4, 1936 – December 8, 2025
Vera Jumper Crump peacefully departed from this life on December 8, 2025 at Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center in Booneville, Mississippi. She was born on March 4, 1936 to Elton and Agnes Shinault Jumper.
She joined Wolf Creek Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Vera worked many years as a factory worker for Blue Bell and Red Kap Industries in Booneville, Mississippi. Upon retirement, she enjoyed cooking for her family, working in her yard, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by one daughter: Valerie Crump of Booneville, MS and one son Vincent Crump (Felicia), a stepson Grady Hurd (Lorraine) of Baldwyn, MS., her siblings: Annette Jones, Gennette Taylor, Dinnia Justice, Dorsey Chambers (Jimmy), Joyce Jumper and Prescilla Tye, along with sister-in-laws Betty J. Jumper, Elizabeth Crump, and a brother-in-law Bobby C. Crump (Elizabeth Ann).
Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren Shayla, Tavian, Markezzy (Eddie), Chriscell, and Sabrina (Dale) and great children.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: Katherine Jumper, Willie T. Jumper, and Jimmy D. Miller.
