Barbara Nell Mohundro Rowell, 77

March 26, 1948 – December 15, 2025

Barbara Nell Mohundro Rowell, age 77, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Tippah County Nursing Home.  Per Barbara’s request, she will be cremated.  The family covets your prayers during this difficult season of their lives.

Born March 26, 1948, in Tippah County, to the late Jimmy Dale and Sarah Leslie Presley Mohundro, Barbara was a graduate of Falkner High School.

A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she cherished the outdoors and had a special love for flowers and birds.  Never wanting attention drawn to herself, she was a selfless woman whose greatest joy was seeing her children happy and enjoying life.  She faithfully attended every event her family was a part of, cheering them on in her gentle, kind and shy way.  Barbara wanted nothing for herself, but everything for her family.

A devoted Christian, Barbara loved deeply and gave her family her all.  Her love knew no boundaries, and she will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Monica Floyd of Iuka and Melissa Rowland (Ronnie Jr.) of Ripley, two sons, Mike Rowell (Lydia) of Walnut, Mark Rowell (Meaghan) of Falkner, twelve much adored grandchildren, Carson and Lana Rowland, Brandi Davis, Dustin Floyd (Willien), Brianna Tensley, Tyler, Eli and Cheyenne Rowell, Neyland and Evie Jewel Tucker and Sykes and Cooper Rowell, three nieces, Tracy Donahoe (Keith), Belinda and Elena Felix, two nephews, Calvin Felix (Donna) and Greg Mohundro, and a host of great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robbie Davis, one sister, Gara Felix, two brothers, Jimmy Dale and Jerry Mohundro, two nephews, Joey and Chris Mohundro, and one sister-in-law, Nancy Mohundro.
