Phyllis Noland, 94

August 3, 1931  –  March 12, 2026

A great soul has realized the promises of her lifelong faith and has met her Creator, reunited with loved ones and friends who have gone before. Mrs. Phyllis Noland passed away at her daughter’s home in Tupelo after a period of declining health. Mrs. Noland was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on August 3, 1931, to the late Louie Warren and Mildred Lane Warren Eldridge. She spent most of her life in the greater Memphis metro area where she and her late husband, Bro. John Davis Noland, faithfully served together as a pastor and pastor’s wife team in several area churches for many decades. On August 25, 1965, Phyllis accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, a decision that shaped the rest of her life. From that day forward she lived

devoted to the Lord, faithfully reading and studying God’s Word. Over the years she read her Bible through more than 45 times, demonstrating her deep love for Scripture. She and Bro. John were married on July 2, 1950. They were faithful to each other and faithful to God until his death on April 4, 2003. She continued serving the Lord teaching ladies Bible studies and various other ministries. Fifteen years ago, Mrs. Noland moved to Tupelo to be near her daughter, Jan Zink.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Lakeview Baptist Church with her pastor, Rob Garland, officiating. A private family burial will follow at 2:45 PM Tuesday at Memphis Funeral Home Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM Monday, March 16, at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo, MS and from 9:30 AM until service time Tuesday at Lakeview Baptist Church.
