Stella Faye White Thomason, age 90, of Palmetto, passed Thursday morning, April 16, 2026, at Generations Senior Living Center, where she had resided for the past three months. Born on January 18, 1936, in Booneville, Stella was the daughter of the late William Earnest White and Martha Estella Taylor White. She was one of six children raised with strong values of family, faith, and hard work. On June 3, 1955, Stella married, Robert Kenneth Thomason, at Center Hill Baptist Church. Their marriage of 70 years was a testament to enduring love and commitment, lasting until his passing on December 16, 2025. Together, they raised two children, Keith Thomason and Anita Frederick. Over the years, Stella and her family lived in several places before settling in the Palmetto/Old Union community in 1972. She was employed for many years at Action Industries, where she served as a sewing inspector.
A dedicated homemaker, Stella found joy in caring for her family and home. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed sewing, smocking, crocheting, quilting, and gardening. Above all, she treasured her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Stella and her husband were faithful and active members of Old Union Baptist Church, where she attended the Ruth Sunday School Class.
