Douglas Webster White, 60, resident of Myrtle, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.
Born on December 17, 1965, in Union County, Mississippi, Doug was the beloved son of the late Jerry Dallas and Margie Nell Moody White. He received his education from Ingomar Attendance Center and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Hickory Flat.
Doug was a man deeply devoted to his country and dedicated much of his life to military service, beginning at the young age of 17. During his distinguished career, he served three tours in Iraq and earned an impressive 22 medals and commendations for his bravery and commitment. He lived life boldly and fully, embracing his love for fast cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Above all, Doug cherished his dogs, loving them as treasured members of his family.
Doug’s memory will forever be cherished by his daughter, Jessica Robbins of Saltillo; his son, Richard “Richie” White of Pontotoc; his sister, Nell Weeden (Bill) of Ingomar; his brother, Tommy White (Christy) of New Albany; his four beloved grandchildren, Mellie White, Colbie Eubanks, Jesse Eubanks, and Bella Kelly; nine nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby White, and one nephew, Thomas White.
