Madison Rowzee, 86

March 12, 1940  –  May 30, 2026

New Albany – Lawrence Madison Rowzee, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Union County Health and Rehab in New Albany, MS.

He was born on March 12, 1940 in Pontotoc County, MS to the late Pete Rowzee and Zana Dillard Rowzee. He graduated from Pontotoc High School, where he played football and went on to play at Ole Miss. He was an engineer and traveled all over the United States doing cable TV construction. He also enjoyed golfing. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Pontotoc, MS.

He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his wife of 48 years, Ramona Thompson Wray Rowzee. He is also survived by his daughter, Stacy Rowzee; two step-sons, Mike Wray and Marty Wray; a brother Shelby Rowzee; seven grandchildren and step- grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; and a special cousin, Andrea Williams Stamper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Matt J.R. Rowzee; and a sister, Barbra Williams.

Burial was at Ingomar Cemetery.
