Randy O’Nel Lester, 55

March 21, 1971 – July 23, 2026

Randy O’Nel Lester was born March 21, 1971, to the late Delton Ray Lester and Veona McEwen Lester in Pontotoc, Mississippi. He departed this earthly life on July 23, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by love, quiet strength, and devotion to those around him.

Randy accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Pontotoc schools and carried the values of his hometown with him throughout his life. He was known for his steady presence, his kind spirit, and the respect he showed to others. He was employed with Ashley Furniture, where he was valued for his work ethic and dependable nature. Randy took pride in doing his job well and in being someone others could count on.

He leaves behind his daughter, Gwendolyn Springer; sons, Javon Wells and Triston Clay; and granddaughters, Shalayla Springer, Shanyia McClendon, Aciyaha Thompson, and Maliyah Parton. He also leaves behind his sisters, Sharon Depriest, Felisha Lester, and Sherry Townsend; brothers, Kenneth Lester, Bobby Lester, and Joey Lester. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delton Billy Ray Lester, and mother, Veona McEwen Lester.

Though his earthly journey has ended, Randy’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for the bonds he shared, the memories he helped create, and the lasting impact of his presence. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial service will be Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Center Hill MB Church, 591 Brassfield Road, Pontotoc, MS. There will be no viewing.
