Paul was born on June 15, 1944 in Winona, MS to the late Joel Lee Swindoll and Nannie Clyde Swindoll, the youngest of three children born to this union. He graduated from Winona High School in 1962 where he was a standout football player. He attended Holmes Jr. College and the University of Southern Mississippi on football scholarships. Paul enjoyed membership at St. Luke UMC where he was active in the Men’s Coffee Club and his Sunday school class. An avid Mississippi State Bulldog football and baseball fan where he enjoyed rooting for the Dawgs and cooking out with his close friends. He enjoyed traveling with Paula, playing golf whenever possible and riding Hercules around on the golf cart. He made beautiful friends at his home in the Lake Circle neighborhood including many children who respected him. As his health declined, his neighborhood friends regularly bought him homemade get-well cards which Paula will save for generations to come.
