Jerry Lee Kidd, 76, of Ingomar, passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born on September 8, 1949, to the late Herbert G. Kidd and Mildred Louise Kidd. On February 8, 1974, he married the love of his life, Brenda. Together, they shared 52 years of marriage and were blessed with one daughter, Stephanie.
Jerry retired from the furniture industry in 2023. He was a devoted member of Martin Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon for more than 30 years. His faith, dedication, and love for his church family were an important part of his life.
Above all, Jerry cherished his family. He loved spending time with his loved ones and especially enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Ella. Ella was a bright light in Jerry’s life and held a very special place in his heart. The love they shared will be treasured by his family forever.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; his daughter, Stephanie (Michael); and his granddaughter, Ella. He is also survived by his brothers, Bobby, Herbert, Johnny (Sandra), and Ricky; his sisters, Ellen (Thomas) and Elsie (Phillip); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert G. Kidd and Mildred Louise Kidd; his brothers, Delaine, Whitfield, Steve, Roger, and Paul; and his beloved grandchildren, Leevi and Jolee.
Jerry will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faith, his service to his church, and the love and kindness he shared with those around him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Services to honor his life will be at 11:00 am, Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Martin Baptist Church, with Bro. Andy Russell and Bro. Chip Johnson officiating. A visitation will begin at 8:30 am ~ 11:00 am, also at the church. Burial will be at Martin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Massengill, Jeff Morris, Sam Wise, Andrew Potts, Matt Potts, Ethan Potts, Robby Hall, and Michael Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Teddy, Allen, and Jason Kidd, Brad Williams, and Deacons of Martin Baptist Church.
