Tammy Estes, 62

Mooreville – Tammy Estes, 62, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was born on Monday, April 6, 1964, in Pontotoc, to her parents, Julius and Jo Anne Collins.

Tammy was an incredibly artsy person who found joy in creating something new. She loved classic rock and turned that same love of music into yet another hobby, learning to play whatever instrument she could get her hands on. Animals were always drawn to her gentle spirit, and she never met one that didn’t love her right away. Video games were another passion of hers and she loved playing with her kids. But more than anything, Tammy loved her family with her whole heart, and she will be remembered by the love she shown.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Jeff Estes; brother, Bryan Collins; children, Alesha Estes, Joshua Estes and his wife, Anna, Alexis Simpson, and Heath White; and grandchildren, Zayla Estes, Zyler Estes, and Zelda Estes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Jo Ann Collins; grandmother, Gladys Carter; and brother, Terry Wayne Collins.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Pegues, Tupelo.

A funeral service honoring Tammy’s life will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Kerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Eggville Cemetery.
