Michael Dees, 68

Michael Dees, 68, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on August 30, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice.

Michael was born on November 7, 1957, in Tennessee to Chester and Stella Hearn Dees. He was a man who enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a lifelong appreciation for hunting and fishing. Deer hunting was a favorite pastime, and he also enjoyed searching for arrowheads, an interest that gave him plenty of reasons to spend time outdoors exploring. Michael also enjoyed trading guns and knives and the conversations and friendships that often came along with it.

Above all, Michael leaves behind a family who will remember him in their own special ways. He is survived by his daughter, Ivy Vidrine and her husband, Jake; his sister, Teresa Dees; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Dees; his parents, Chester and Stella Hearn Dees; his sister, Linda Borden; and his brothers, Jimmy Dees and Mitchell Dees.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date, when Michael’s family will gather to remember his life and the memories they shared with him.
