Terrell Dempsey Rhea, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on June 13, 1932, in Potts Camp, Mississippi.
Terrell devoted his life to hard work as a warehouse worker with Ryder/PIE Truckline, having proudly served as a member of the Teamsters Union. His dedication to family and work was only outmatched by his deep love for Jesus. He was a man of faith who believed passionately in the importance of salvation and community, encouraging all to embrace the teachings of Christ and find a Bible-believing church.
Terrell leaves behind five devoted daughters, Shelia Shelton (Pete) of Byhalia, MS, Debbie Fair (Henry) of Myrtle, MS, Sylvia Rhea (Myrtle, MS) Freda Bowling of Potts Camp, MS, and Lisa Windham (Lee) of Dumas, MS. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Robbins Rhea, and his siblings, who were a significant part of his life. Terrell was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Rhea, his parents George Rhea, Beatrice Blaylock Rhea, one brother, Aaron Rhea, and his sisters Mary Goode, Gracie McCallum, Louise Work and Dorothy Bostic.
Family and friends will gather to honor Terrell’s life with a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026. at Salem Baptist Church in Potts Camp, MS. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, will be officiated by Bro. Randy Bynum. Mr. Terrell will be laid to rest at Cornersville Cemetery.
Pallbearers chosen to honor Terrell’s life include Lee Windham, along with Derek Windham, Steven Hankins, Chance Rutledge, Jason Coffey, and Cade Taylor.
