About 75 volunteers worked in Great American Clean-Up Saturday, March 26, in New Albany
There was a good turn-out of volunteers for New Albany’s Great American Clean-Up, Saturday, March 26th.
The volunteer workers gathered at the Union County Heritage Museum for the clean-up operation from 9 a.m. until noon. Community Development Director Billye Jean Stroud estimated that 75 local people volunteered their time and energy for the annual event.
Sunny skies and mid-day temperatures above 60 degrees F created ideal weather for the city-wide event.
Sponsors for this year’s clean-up included the Historic Northside Garden Club, New Albany Main Street Association, the Union County Heritage Museum and the Union County Development Association.
