Abraham Hardin, 82
March 13, 1944 – October 17, 2026
When waves of affliction sweep over the soul,
And sunlight is hidden from view,
If ever you’re tempted to fret or complain,
Just think of His goodness to you!
On October 17, 2026, Abraham Hardin departed this earthly life to join his Savior in a home not made with hands, whose Builder and Maker is God. He was born on March 13, 1944, in Byhalia, Mississippi, to the late Willie Hardin and Georgia Ann Fant Hardin.
Abraham accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized, and became a member of Union Valley Baptist Church. His faith was an important part of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of family, hard work, and cherished memories.
He was united in marriage to Harvey Mae Garner, and to this union, two children were born: Anthony James Hardin and LaKeesha Loyce-Ann Hardin.
Throughout his working years, Abraham was employed by Jones Lumber Company and Ralston Purina. Following his retirement, he continued to pursue his passion for hard work and service by establishing his own lawn care business, Hardin’s Lawn Service.
In his leisure time, Abraham enjoyed fishing, tending to his garden, watching baseball and basketball, and relaxing while watching Western movies. These simple pleasures brought him joy and reflected the things he loved most about life.
Abraham was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Willie Hardin and Georgia Ann Fant Hardin; his three brothers, James Hardin, Jessie Hardin, and Joseph Hardin; his four sisters, Katie Davis, Odessa Hall, Louise Hardin, and Willie Jean Hardin; and his niece, Lazandra Wells.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his son, Anthony James Hardin; his daughter, LaKeesha Loyce-Ann Hardin; and his beloved granddaughter, Kayla Erin McKinley, affectionately known to him as “Muffie,” a special nickname he lovingly called her. He is also survived by five nephews, George Davis, Efrem Davis, Joseph Hardin, Jr., Tracey Wayne Hardin, and Gregory Hall; five nieces, Polly Woodard, Sherry Hardin, Katrina Hardin, Erma Garth, and Angela Hardin Newsom; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Though Abraham has departed from this earthly life, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to perseverance, dedication, and the enduring bonds of family. While he will be deeply missed, his loved ones can find comfort in the memories they shared, the legacy he leaves behind, and the promise of eternal rest in the presence of his Savior.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
